We start this hike in the lovely seaside village of Carlingford, where we make our way up the steep ascent to the summit of Slieve Foye (588m), the highest point in Co. Louth. Here we get wonderful views north to Carlingford Lough and the Mournes. We follow the rocky crest of the mountain over subsidiary tops to Eagles Rock, then possibly onto Raven’s Rock and Foxes Rock. From here we head east, traversing the mountain before dropping gradually to join the Tain Way path back into Carlingford.
