As well as our popular navigation and Mountain Skills courses, we also run a number of special interest mountain courses introducing other aspects of life in the mountains.
Scrambling is often erroneously described as filling the gap between hiking and climbing. In reality it is separate from both, requiring its own set of skills and disciplines. In our introductory course we travel to North Wales to get a feel for the rock and to learn the basic techniques for safe travel over this terrain. At no point do we exceed grade 1 scrambling, and ropes, harnesses and climbing gear are not a part of this course.
Many clients have come to us looking for advice and training for an upcoming trekking holiday. To meet this demand we have created a specialist one day course, Expedition and Trek training, during which we can assess the clients fitness, answer their queries and concerns, and give advice on how best to prepare for the challenge ahead.
